In an effort to teach the children about “giving”, each child is given an envelope to bring back the following Sunday with their offering, that they have earned helping their parents/guardians at home. These offerings are then used for various activities for the Sunday School Program.
God’s word need not be limited to book study, so we include our children as Communion Stewards, Ushers, Scripture Readers and Greeters under the guidance of an adult, during every Children’s Sabbath.
Also, the children are involved with age appropriate community service projects throughout the year.
We feel that it is extremely important for our children to fellowship outside of Church, so we will begin to have game nights, seasonal field trips and end of year picnic to celebrate in June.
Bible Sunday is observed in November. During this Worship Service we present our new 3rd graders with their own personal Bible.
During the Christmas and Easter Seasons, the children are part of beautiful plays during the Family Worship Service. It is a blessing to have a children’s choir this year which will be directed by Eugene Steficek and Andrew Gallagher, our Music Directors.
Our Nursery Room is an important extension of the children’s ministry. We have wonderful and dedicated volunteers keep watch over our youngest members.
It is with much appreciation that I thank all the Teachers and Nursery School Volunteers for their hard work and dedicated service. You have heard and answered your call to instill the word of God in our children. May you be fully blessed by the Lord our God.
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.
